Ace Zappa is used Studio Residency to compile a book of their poetry, carve and print lino blocks to go with each poem, and hand print a limited edition. The book is currently called “wishbook-workbook-makebook.” Ace shared about their textile work and paintings as well.

BIOGRAPHY
Ace Zappa makes art and works hard. A part of the Boise (and beyond) art scene for decades, Ace teaches classes and makes art from garbage. Ace had a piece in the recent Land Art show at Idaho Botanical Garden, which used hand spun milkweed yarn. Using repurposed materials and paint culled from the landfill, Ace makes large scale abstract expressionist paintings.
