An installation piece called "accretion" by David Beams. In the piece, holes are drilled out of the wall of a soon-to-be demolished space, and the holes themselved have been reattached elsewhere in the space.

Biography

David Beams recently graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree from Boise State University. 

Beams received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2016. Since receiving his BFA, Beams has worked in a variety of media and disciplines. In 2017, Beams participated in the AHA Festival in Santa Fe with a work that informed his current focus of performative installation. In 2018, Beams had a solo exhibition of monumental sculpture in the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which ran for one year. Upon graduating from BSU, Beams’ intention is to continue work in performative installation examining indigenous histories, contemporary Native American experience and underrepresentation of Native American influence in the larger American art canon.
