Mahjong & Mimosa Brunch

Come to Surel’s Place for mimosas, brunch, and to play (or learn how to play) mahjong! Surel Mitchell loved to play mahjong and had a group of friends who regularly gathered at her home to play. It’s only fitting that we play this timeless game at her home to bring those memories into the present together. Each ticket includes a light brunch, a mimosa, and mahjong instruction from some seasoned local mahjong players, Stacey Stewart & Rosa Urrutia. Plus, a command performance by renowned Jazz performer and Surel’s Place Artist-in-Residence Rob Scheps capping the morning with a rendition of Wayne Shorter’s “Mahjong” on soprano saxophone.
