Jodi Named a “Power” Player in Idaho Arts

The Idaho Business Review recently released its “Power List” of Idaho arts leaders and to no one’s surprise, our very own Jodi Eichelberger is among the 24 on the list — the paper especially cited his work as artistic director of Story Story Night.

Also on the list were Surel’s Place Co-Founder Matilda Rose Bubb, board member Cassandra Schiffler who heads the City of Meridian arts efforts, our longtime partner Samuel Foster Stimpert from the Visual Arts Collective, and Sean Hancock, who leads our Surel District neighbor organization, Recycled Minds. Several recent collaborators made the list as well, including Eric Gilbert, whose Duck Club put on Garden City’s recent Flipside Music and Mural Fest; Lauren Edson and Andrew Stensaas of LED, who co-hosted recent artist-in-residence Stephen Aifegha and performed in our 10th Anniversary event at the Morrison Center; Laura Kendall who heads the Morrison Center and partnered on that May event; and Jason Morales from the Ming Gallery, which is working with Surel’s Place as the organization transitions into a nonprofit.

And speaking of Jodi, he was recently interviewed by the new Hey Boise! Podcast, hosted by comedian and writer Emma Arnold. Listen here to “Boise’s Standing Ovation Problem.”
